Originally a Fine-Arts graduate from the University of South Carolina in 2010, Justin discovered a passion for web development in early 2017. With the help of friends, an exceptional mentor, and a supporting wife, Justin quickly grew, learning and cultivating many new skills along the way. Highly organized, tenacious, and possessing an insatiable appetite for learning new things, Justin has finally found his calling in an ever-growing and constantly fluctuating field that draws out his passion for creation and intellectual growth.

SC State Fair Concessions Forms

This form utilizes jquery and some basic functionality using angularjs. Currently in the process of transitioning this version into PHP, where it will load information from the state fair's SQL database and update on click of the submit button. Source files and assets can be found here.

TechHire Classwork

Web Lab Final

In the Midlands TechHire program, this project was a final culmination of everything we had learned throughout the front-end development program. Started and completed from scratch, we followed directions out of small book to complete a "five page" website for Adventures Insurance. Due to the length of the directions in the book, I will not include of them in this repository, but I will try to describe the main objectives in this "README" file. We were given three days to complete this project. I received the grade of "A." More information here.

Upon completion of the CSS3 Advanced class from the Midlands Technical College TechHire program, we were asked to follow specific directions to create our third simple webpage. Report directly to and collaborate with lead developer. Responsible for designing, creating, testing, and implementing dynamic, interactive, and responsive web pages, intuitive data storing and calculating forms, and single page web applications. Extensive work with building responsive, dynamic, mobile-first front-end user experiences with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, Zurb's Foundation, and jQuery. Also, experience personally developing online single-page form applications using AngularJS and an Apache-MySQL-PHP stack.

ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Personally Fit; Columbia, SC - May 2015-June 2017

I weekly trained 20+ clients with diverse careers, backgrounds, exercise experience, and pre-existing injuries and conditions to exercise safely in order to meet their goals using a variety of methods and equipment. For my certification, I maintained continuing education in order to stay on top of current exercise trends and science-based research.

Doorman, The Heritage Condominiums; Columbia, SC - January 2008-Present

As doorman, I greet guests, residents, and contractors into the building as well as guard the keys, doors, and deliveries of the residents. I watch cameras and record the goings-on of the building. The Heritage currently uses my method of organization of the residents’ personal information. I was also offered the Head Doorman position in 2010, but I declined the offer in order to pursue further education.

Prepared, organized, and led diverse groups of people of varying artistic experience to paint and finish paintings of varying difficulty within a 2 hour time limit while still giving an entertaining experience and ensuring that no customer was left behind.
